Photographs From the Son - Sedgwick County Zoo

The following photographs were taken in April 2009 during a visit to the Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita, Kansas.

Following a long drive to Kansas to see the Hamid Circus (Wichita Shrine), I spent several adventurous days with animal trainer Doug Terranova. We visited the Sedgwick County Zoo and were graciously given a tour of facilities by zoo staff. We also met the zoo's two 38 year old female African elephants, Stephanie and Cinda.

I eagerly anticipate associating with new individuals with an interest or history in elephants, elephant history and elephant record keeping. If you have further information regarding the animals or locations questioned in the article, please leave a comment or message me in an effort to complete their records for elephant historians.
